How To Choose the Right Size Mattress

Well, hello there puppet fans! Are you in the market for a new mattress? Let me tell you, there’s nothing quite like a good night’s sleep on a comfortable mattress. But before you go picking out the fluffiest, softest mattress in the store (it’s how the Missus chose me, by the way), you need to make sure you’re getting the right size. And I’m here to help you with that.

Now, in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy mattress sizes. We had twin, full, queen, and king. That’s it. But nowadays, there’s all kinds of sizes, like California king and twin XL. It’s enough to make your head spin.

So, let’s break it down, shall we?

Twin

This is the smallest size mattress, and it’s good for a single sleeper or a child’s room. If you’re an adult, though, you might find it a bit cramped.

Full

This is a step up from the twin size and is good for a single sleeper who likes a bit more room to stretch out. It’s also a good size for a smaller guest room.

Queen

Ah, the queen size. This is the most popular size, and for good reason. It’s big enough for two people to sleep comfortably without feeling cramped. Plus, it’s not so big that it takes up the entire room.

King

This is the biggest size mattress and is good for couples who want lots of room to spread out. But beware, it’s also the most expensive and can be a bit difficult to maneuver up stairs and around tight corners.

California King

This is like the king size, but longer and narrower. It’s good for tall people who need that extra leg room.

Twin XL

This is like the twin size, but longer. It’s good for tall single sleepers who need the extra length.

Now, if you’re still not sure which size to get, here’s a little tip: go bigger. Trust me, you’ll thank me later. And, lucky you, if you’re sharing the bed with someone, make sure you both lie down on the mattress together to make sure you have enough room.

At Vermont Bedrooms, we offer all kinds of sizes, so you’re sure to find the right one for you. Just don’t forget to measure your room and make sure you have enough space for the mattress. You don’t want to end up sleeping on the floor, like I did that one time. Stuffing all over the place…not a pretty picture.

Now, can somebody help me down from this mattress?
…Anyone?
